What is Methoni Mazi?
Methoni Mazi is an active civic association formed by dedicated residents of Methoni — both Greek and international — who are united by a common goal: to make our beloved town more beautiful, safer, more welcoming, and more successful.
Why Methoni?
Methoni is one of Greece’s most unique and historic towns. Its iconic seaside castle is a landmark, but the town also shines thanks to its rich heritage, picturesque bay, stunning natural surroundings, and vibrant culinary culture.
However, despite its remarkable potential, Methoni often overlooks key aspects of its environment and infrastructure — such as the condition of its streets, the public lighting, the promenade, water supply, and the preservation of its natural beauty.
Moreover, there’s a real need to create and promote opportunities for young people in Methoni to start businesses, find jobs, and get involved in local projects. By supporting these new ideas and helping young people get started, we can strengthen local businesses and give the small economy of Methoni the boost it needs.
Methoni deserves better. Methoni Mazi aims to change this narrative — by working hand in hand with local authorities, businesses, and all residents.

Where We Begin
Methoni Mazi has identified several key starting projects that will be implemented step by step, in close collaboration with local authorities and relevant organizations — but without unnecessary delays. We’ve already experienced enough of those.
Our first priorities include:
